Where I've Been and Where I Am.

[In honor of my third year of being Arizona in July 2008, I wrote this comparison between the Phoenix area and my home of Queens, NY Most of this is totally random. Long Island Expressway gets the nod as the worst highway.

It is a tie between the 60 and the 101.

Power Rd( at least my dad think they are equivalent)

Queens residents like to escape to Long Island during the summer. The rich go to the Hamptons.

Residents escape to Northern Arizona when things get too hot, and winter residents come here too cold. The rich go to Scottsdale and Paradise Valley.

Planes flying overhead with the Chinese and Orthodox Jews in Flushing

It is the same in Tempe, especially the aircraft.

Louis Armstrong was a famous resident and has a school named after him.

Frank Lloyd Wright was among the famous residents and has a street named after him.

You can't tell the boundaries between neighborhoods.

Both Queens and the Phoenix area have towns called Glendale.

The Horace Harding Expressway along the Long Island Expressway( Also called"the service road of the LIE")

Price Rd along the 101 is the only thing I like about the 101. It makes it easier to turn around when I miss an exit, which is the only easy thing to do on the 101
